I was introduced to 'Imagine Dragons' by my awesome buddy Ahmed The Carrot Head when he gave me a link to their song Radioactive. I was debating whether I should post Top of the World or Radioactive, because I love both just as much! One is happy and makes me smile, while the other is darker and fused with energy. I, off course, ended up posting the happy one because I'm a happy hippie like that. And honestly, their whole EP is just amazing. I've five-stared 5 out of the 6 songs on it! See...
Enough about me. Listen to this now.
If you like what you hear, then I seriously advise you to get their EP. Take a listen here.
This is unlike them. It's so laid back. Kind of reminds me of Ringside or Stereophonics, maybe even old school Train. I like all their other stuff too, but this song is different. I love this. You will love it too.
Not only do I have an awesome song for you today, but I'm also posting the album "trailer" of Matthew's upcoming album. I'm so excited. Heck, I'm ecstatic! Every artist making a new record has to say this is the finest of their work, that this album is very personal, different, deep and whatever. Usually, that's complete BS, but in this case, I believe it's true. It sounds so perfect, so simple, so Matthew! I can't wait till Tuesday!
I don't know why I keep listening to this guy when his voice alone makes me cry.
From his new album A Banquet For Ghosts, here's Heart in Wire, for you.
Matthew's singing voice is the best I've heard. Ever. And the fact that he writes incredible lyrics lands him a fancy spot on my all-time favorite artists list. In fact, seeing him perform live is one of the top things on my bucket list.
I'm a diehard fan of Milow's. I've been listening to his version of 50 cent's Ayo Technology since it came out in 2008. I actually had the pleasure of meeting him on the 27th of September, 2011, which happens to be the day of my 24th birthday! He's an incredibly nice guy with an oh-so-perfect smile. After I met him, his albums were on repeat for months.
His videos are always weird. So weird.
And here is an episode of his American tour video diary. Can you spot me? :D
I believe their last album didn't get quarter the buzz it deserves. It's one of those albums you can listen to every song on, and more than a couple of songs are absolutely perfect!
I do not remember where or how I got to know Ed song. All I know is that I found his albums on my iTunes and I can't stop smiling while listening to him.
Here's a random thought, how about you do something nice for a complete stranger today?
This was on a Pepsi ad many many years ago. You know when you hear part of a song on TV or something and go "oh, this song is perfect! I gotta have it!". Then when you listen to the whole thing, you're disappointed. Yeah, this one isn't like that. This song is awesome from start to end.
